Skiing on the coast of Northern Norway

Introduction

The coast of northern Norway is without question one of the most beautiful in the world. Rising from the shore are countless stunning mountains seemingly made for skiing. We are going to sample the delights on an eight day ski road/ferry trip starting and finishing in Tromso.

Most of the skiing will be on islands or in areas only accessible from the sea and only known to the locals.

We will stay in a mixture of hotels, ski lodges, self-catering cottages, huts and in the isolated community of Reinfjord.

Should there be large fluctuations in currency exchange rates in coming months the price of this trip could be less or more than stated and will be fixed two months prior to departure. Insurance

You will need a travel insurance policy that caters for the activities you will undertake on your trip with Jagged Globe. It is a requirement of our booking conditions that you have such a policy. Itinerary

Here is an outline itinerary for this trip.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1:	Fly to Tromso Fly to Tromso arriving on the SAS flight at 1320 at the latest. Pick up the rental van and drive/ferry to Lyngseidet. Dinner then a midnight sun ski tour.
Day 2 - 7:	Day touring with light packs in the mountains of Troms and Finnmark. Particular highlights will be skiing on the islands of Kagen and Arnoya and from the remote coastal community of Reinfjord.
Day 8:	Return to Tromso and fly home.
